Important notices:
The Big Deal is a chance for top sellers to feature their best products (with free postage), just one click away from the eBay.com.au homepage.
Each day, the Big Deal features two TODAY’S DEALS . These deals are featured in a daily email to Big Deal subscribers. The deals are also shown on the Big Deal website in prime position at the top of the page. After that, they’re located in the ‘Previous Deals’ section at the same price for four days, unless sold out.
These sections are NEW and highlight branded products at good prices. All items offer free postage, a discount of at least 20% off the RRP and a minimum of 50 unitls per product is available.

- Potential to drive a large number of buyers to your product

- Cross merchandising to drive additional sales
- Offload stock quickly
- Item are promoted through Daily Big Deal subscuber emails display one section/category each day.
The Big Deal section only
- Prime position on eBay.com.au advertising your product
- Top position on the daily Big Deal subscriber email and on the Big Deal website
- Exposure on eBay’s fortnightly Buyer Insider email newsletter if your item is listed on the same day the email is sent
Seller status and feedback rating
- PowerSeller status preferred
- Store owner preferred
- Last 30 days cumulative detailed seller rating (DSR) of 4.7 or more
Service factors
- All item must be Buy It Now (BIN) only
- Submit a minimum of four deals (branded products take priority)
- Provide the item at least 20% below recommended retail price (RRP) for each deal
- New items only – though refurbished items with warranty will be considered
- Fixed price, multi-quantity
- Supply on hand, minimum 50 units offered (lower quantities may be considered for items >$200). Larger quantities are given preference
- Quality photos – without store branding or watermark
- Return Policy clearly stated
- Free postage (for the Big Deal only) and send within 2 days
All sellers and listings must be in line with eBay policies.
If you meet all of the eligibility guidelines above, download the form and email BIGDeal_Submissions@eBay.com with:
- Your User ID
- Current feedback percentage
- Current detailed seller rating (DSR) score
- Link to your eBay Store
For each deal you are offering:
- The eBay category of your deal – Big Deal, Electronics, Home, or Fashion
- Item name (include Brand and Model)
- Item description
- eBay Item Number (if available)
- Quantity available
- Deal price (AU$)
- Recommended Retail Price (RRP) – please source from the manufacturer's website or comparison shopping site and include URL
- Percentage saving
- For the Big Deal items only, postage service must be free to buyers
We will review your selling account and deal items. You will then be advised if you are offered a placement for a section on the Big Deal website.
These are guidelines and do not constitute automatic qualification for the Big Deal. eBay reserves the right in its discretion to choose the items that feature in the Big Deal. eBay may modify these guidelines at any time.
NOTE: Due toe the large number of submission recieved, only successful submissions will recieve a response.
All sellers are vetted by eBay’s Trust and Safety Team prior to each appearance on the Big Deal website.
eBay members who offer items on eBay valued at more than $15 and who offer either a written warranty or service contract with the items must in their item descriptions provide one of the following:
- The full text of the written warranty
- A statement explaining how a free copy of the written warranty can be obtained upon written request
- A link within the listing that takes members to the warranty details
Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
- Listing cancellation
- Limits on account privileges
- Account suspension
- Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
- Loss of PowerSeller status
eBay urges its sellers and buyers to comply with all governmental laws and regulations. Since the sale of warranties is highly regulated, or may cause harm to eBay or its members, sellers are restricted in their listing of them on eBay.
