Updated bulk edit flow now here
To make updating the item condition of your listings as easy as possible we have improved the functionality of eBay's 'Bulk revise, relist, and sell similar' flows.
These flows will now allow you to work on up to 200 listings at a time. You should try and start updating your listings as soon as possible to ensure you are well prepared by the time item condition specification becomes mandatory from 27 July.

- Click the "Edit" button
- On the Edit Listings page, check off the fields you wish to edit

- Click Continue, review your edits and submit them
We have redesigned our 'bulk edit, relist and sell similar flows' to make it easier for you to manage your listings. In an easy-to-use spreadsheet interface, you can now make revisions to multiple listing fields such as item condition, price and quantity—then publish all the listings at once. Bulk revise, bulk relist or bulk sell similar up to 200 listings or Selling Manager Pro templates at a time.
Now that the bulk functionality is available, the existing functionality will eventually be phased out.
The new bulk functionality provides a new approach to working with multiple listings at the same time. You can perform the following tasks:
- Revise items directly in a grid by clicking and changing a cell value. You can use common spreadsheet keyboard shortcuts and interaction.
- Revise multiple listings in bulk or individually.
- Review any errors, warnings and fees your edits might generate. These will be displayed whenever you modify a field on a listing.
- Modify your listings one step at a time without publishing any changes until you're ready.
- Preview how the modified listings will appear on the item page even before your changes are published.

In today's bulk flow, you can only make changes when you are revising your listings - not when you are relisting or selling similar in bulk. Plus, most of the functionality described above is not available in the old bulk flow versions.
Because the new bulk functionality is still in the test phase, there are many fields you can't edit yet, which is why you'll probably want to opt in and out of the test as required. However, we should match and surpass the number of editable fields for edit towards the end of the year.
The price, quantity, title and subtitle fields are now available. Also, to assist sellers with the introduction of mandatory item condition in selected categories, we have made sure that item condition can be edited.
Choose from a couple of different ways to edit the item condition field on your listings:
- Edit your listings one at a time within the grid. Scroll down your listings, find the listing you wish to edit and click into the cell in the item condition column. Enter the appropriate value. When you are done with all your edits, click Submit All.
- Select multiple listings, click the Edit button, and choose Condition. At that point, you can edit one listing at a time or edit all of the selected listings by making the selection in the "Select action" dropdown.
No, the new bulk functionality is limited to onsite use only. Turbo Lister, Blackthorne and third party applications have their own separate bulk editing functionalities.
Getting error messages back when you send your listings to bulk edit? Try these tips:
- Start simple. Read the error message to see which listings aren't working properly, then go back to correct the error. For example, if you've bulk edited 100 listings and two of them have a problem, the other 98 will update just fine.
- Double check. Are you trying to edit a field that you're not allowed to edit? Trying to edit an Auction-style listing within 12 hours of auction end? Have outstanding Best Offers on a listing? These are some of the most common errors in bulk editing. To learn more about what you can and can't edit (and when) on the various listings formats, review this chart.
- Narrow it down. If your edits are being rejected, try cutting down the number of fields you are trying to edit at once. You can also try reducing the number of listings you are editing at the same time. Both of these actions will help you narrow down the listings and/or edits that may be causing the problem.
- Ask for help. There are eBay discussion boards for most of the eBay-owned tools. Third-party tools often host their own boards as well. You can also contact us at any point for immediate assistance with eBay-owned tools. For assistance with third-party tools, please contact the third-party developer directly.
